The traditional Bavarian costumes are very popular and not only the locals like to wear this kind of clothes, also holiday guests want to show their bond to the region and therefore like to have this precious souvenir  and wear it at home.

On behalf of the township, the dressmaker Christine Falken has designed an original Schliersee Dirndl. This costume fits every woman and the valuable fabrics  enhance the appearance of this garment. The female wearer will feel beautiful in this dress, even if it is the first time putting it on. „Tradition, home and culture” are being combined in a fresh and classy way.

On the upper button of the top the St Sixtus Church in Schliersee, the lake and the island Wörth is being illustrated. The outer parts of the buttons are made of brass. The colours inside of the button matches to the colour of the fabric of the Dirndl. On the backside of the dress and the apron string the quality label „Original Bayern Schliersee“ showing the patron saint St. Sixtus in a round embem is incorporated.

You can choose a one-piece completely padded Dirndl in ruby, in several blue tones or in modern colours. Also the skirts and the tops can be choosen in all kinds of colours. Depending on your taste, you can choose a round or cornered neckline. 

The tops are made of linen, the apron is made of pure silk and the skirts of wool-georgette. The Dirndl is also garnished with beads, a trim, a piece of embroidery respectively a velvet band or a red ribbon.

The local women wear the two-piece Dirndl at special occasions. The black top is called „Spenzer” and is combined with a two coloured pleated fabric skirt.

Due to the great demand for Schliersee Dirndl it is recommended to arrange an appointment in time. Christina Falken´s tailor shop is opened Mondays from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and Tuesday to Friday from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and 02.00 p.m. to 06.00 p.m. Saturdays only dates by arrangement.
